Where I stand

Local Issues

Property taxes and school funding

Education property taxes have risen more than 40 percent over five years — a direct hit on every homeowner in Pittsford and Proctor. I support separating school funding from property taxes so families are not taxed out of the homes they have worked for, while protecting the quality of our schools.

Housing we can afford

Working families and young Vermonters are being priced out of Rutland County. I'll back common-sense housing policy that increases availability and keeps homes within reach for the people who grew up here and want to stay.

Healthcare access in rural Rutland

Federal Medicaid changes and the end of expanded ACA subsidies are squeezing Vermont hospitals and patients. I'll fight to protect rural healthcare access and push back on the costs hitting our local hospital and the families who depend on it.

Childcare

Affordable, available childcare is an economic issue as much as a family issue. When parents can't find or afford care, they can't work — and our local economy feels it. I support expanding access in Rutland County.

Roads, transportation, and flood resilience

After recent Vermont floods, we know what deferred infrastructure maintenance costs. I'll fight for a fully funded transportation fund and make sure Pittsford and Proctor's roads, culverts, and bridges are ready for the next storm — not just patched up after it.
